Why History

If we don't know our past we have no guide by which to make informed decisions. To think we can make constructive decisions without knowing the failures and triumphs of our Forefathers is self-deluding. Without a knowledge of our past we underestimate the evil in man, and overestimate the good in man and so we permit evil men to rule over us because we don't know what evil looks like.
